Red, yellow or skyblue pink… your mezzanine, your choice

All the mezzanines we design and install at Hi-Level Mezzanines can be customised to our clients’ wishes. So whether it’s a sleek customer-facing look or robust warehouse set-up, we can create the mezzanine for you.

When it comes to colour, take your pick from the 2,540 RAL colours available. A large e-commerce company asked us to do all their paintwork in yellow at one site, while another client chose red and blue to match their company branding.

Some mezzanines are purely functional (such as a client commissioning a simple storage platform in a warehouse), while others need to look good because customers will see them. They have to align with brand quality as well as being strong, safe and practical.

Matching consumer expectations

Many of our clients require a high quality of finish to match consumer expectations, and we can offer options from decking edge trim (a metal strip for a neat and tidy finish) to accessories including a choice of handrails, staircases and pallet gates.

Edge protection and staircases can be slick glass and stainless steel for retail use. Handrails for mezzanines can also be customised, as industrial standard or perhaps a tension wire balustrade for a very modern look. Pallet gates are available in bespoke sizes and in up-and-over or swing style to suit your needs.

Getting creative

Some clients like to be creative and we are happy to oblige. Just as when you buy a new car you can choose from a menu of add-ons, we offer options on decking material and colour or trim. Decking can be particle board, forge-welded grating or our unique Hi-Tile, for example.

Our Hi-Tile flooring is available in 11 colours. You can use different colours to demarcate different zones (production zone, staff cafeteria and office space, for example) or have your logo printed on your tiles. Designed to be a hard-wearing surface for robotics, it is so popular that it is now widely used in many other locations as well.

Column spacing and number of columns is dependent on your site, the strength of your ground slab and the weight the columns need to bear, so will always be bespoke.

One client installing a mezzanine to store supercars and classic cars asked us about adding a flowing staircase, cool industrial handrails and having each parking space marked out in a different Hi-Tile colour – a real showpiece.

Customising a mezzanine

Another example is our work with Granger Hertzog, a company running an acclaimed furniture and prop-hire service for the film industry. For its new showroom we executed a two-tier mezzanine design that captured Granger Hertzog’s vision for a modern open-plan concept full of light and character. The premises provided ample space to display its extensive collection across three levels, with stylish black handrails and striking orange trim on staircases.

Keith Fyfe, Granger Hertzog General Manager, said: “We worked closely together for over nine months, perfecting the design for our showroom and offices and the Hi-Level team were very responsive to our needs. A professional approach justified our faith in Hi-Level and the finished result was a testament to their great workmanship.”

At Rockstar Climbing in Swindon the mezzanine is also public-facing, supporting a café and viewing area for spectators to watch family and friends on the climbing and bouldering walls. The high-quality design includes timber decking, and our experts installed the mezzanine structure in just two days. Rockstar has been able to increase its footprint and spectators now feel more part of the action in this thrilling facility.
