Not Your Every Day is a new sustainable furniture hire company who launched in June 2023.
They specialise in offering the most sustainably produced, high quality pieces and work with some of Europe’s best furniture suppliers who use the most creative designers to produce truly unique items.
The Not Your Every Day team is a group of passionate people with lots of experience in events and hospitality and a huge determination to offer their clients something different.
Not Your Every Day only stock furniture pieces that will be a true asset to their customers events – with a focus on high quality, imaginative, beautiful, sustainable furniture.
Their range includes furniture produced entirely from post-consumer plastic waste and made from hemp and other totally natural and biodegradable materials. 97% of their furniture is sourced in Europe enabling them to keep their carbon footprint in check. They also ensure sustainability is considered in every detail of their business activities from pallet wrap and protective furniture covers to the electricity that powers their building and cars.
The Challenge
From the very early stages of securing their new warehouse building it was important to Not Your Every Day to maximise the space they had available. Their building had lots of headroom so there were plenty of options to consider including the possibility of installing tall racking bays and acquiring the type of forklift trucks that would be required to reach these racking locations.
However, Not Your Every Day’s Managing Director and Founder, Ryan Walker, knew from experience in previous roles that there was a better option that would give them all the space they needed and at a cost-effective price – a mezzanine!
With this being their preferred choice Ryan connected with Hi-Level and the process for getting their new mezzanine floor began straight away.
The Criteria
Not Your Every Day wanted to create more space within their new building for storage of their range of hireable furniture. With deliveries of new furniture pieces coming in thick and fast the extra storage space is already being put to good use!
